Travel from Cordoba to Carmona, a town with over 5,000 years of history. Different civilizations have lived here, leaving a Roman, Islamic, and Christian legacy that you will see during the tour.
The experience begins with pick-up in Córdoba and transport in a comfortable vehicle to Carmona. Upon arrival, you will tour the historic center with a tour guide, walking through its streets to the main monuments. You'll visit the Puerta de Sevilla, an ancient fortress gate that for centuries protected access to the city, and continue on to Plaza de San Fernando, the heart of Carmona, surrounded by historic buildings and lively terraces.
The route continues to the Priory Church of Santa Maria, one of the city's main monuments, built on the site of an old mosque. You will also see the Puerta de Córdoba, part of the ancient Roman Via Augusta, and walk through the narrow streets of the historic center as you learn about the history and traditions of the town.
The excursion also stops at the Parador de Carmona, set in an old Arab fortress. From its gardens and terraces, you look out over the Vega del Corbones. You will have free time for coffee, lunch, or to take pictures.
Before returning to Córdoba, you'll have free time to stroll around, shop for souvenirs, or keep walking through Carmona at your leisure. The day combines history, heritage, and wide views, with transport and a guide included from Córdoba.
